What you are looking at is NOT the hard drive serial number. It is called the Volume Serial Number. It is generated at the time of creating and formatting the volume / partition. You can get it by using a command at command prompt: C: > vol c: if C: is the drive you want to retrieve the Volume Serial Number for. Find hard disk serial number. To find the hard drive serial number or the solid state drive serial number, enter the following command in the Command Prompt. Wmic diskdrive get serialnumber This is the serial number you can give you device’s manufacturer if you’re looking to redeem your warranty, or if you’re trying to repair/troubleshoot problems with it. How to Find Serial Number of Hard Drive in Windows Information Sometimes abbreviated as Serial No., SN or S/N, a serial number is a unique number assigned to the PC by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) used for identification and inventory purposes. Find Hard Disk Serial Number in Windows 10 In Windows 10, you can see aserial number for the hard disk installed in your PC using the command line. If you need to print it out or just view your hard drive details without restarting your PC or using a third party tool, it can be done with a single command.

AutoCAD doesn't have anything like that built in, but it's easily done with TLEN.lsp (Total LENgth of selected objects) If you're not familiar with how to use lisp, simply copy/paste (CTRL+V) ALL the text and characters in the above link into your command line and press Enter, then type TLEN into the command line and follow the command prompt (select the objects) Note using this method, the lisp is only loaded for the current session, if you want it to be a permanent feature, Add it to the Startup Suite or the acaddoc.lsp file. In the LENGTHEN command there is the option to specify the total length – press T to select this option, and then enter the desired length.
