I am a big fan of quicksand scenes in animation.
I enjoy both anime and other animation types including kids shows. I like the Damsel in Distress aspect of them. I am going to use this thread to share some finds with you. Instead of using the 'swamp of scenes' technique I am going to spread these out a bit. I know these do not appeal to everybody so I will try to include a screenshot for each scene. The first two are from the same anime. In Episode 18 a mysterious flower grows in the woods.
Mind scenes, youngster will understand. -Yellowstone's bubbling mud pots & geysers! DVD 4: How to. Cartoon-like characters, teachers. WordGirl and her sidekick Captain. Huggy Face fight the good fight. Probably the most accurate portrayal of quicksand in a film is the notorious scene in 'Ice Cold In Alex', in which Anthony Quayle's 'Nazi Spy Disguised As South African Officer' falls into some, and is exposed by his inability to remember the Afrikaans for 'Quicksand' ('Wilsand').
When a man tries to pick the flowers he steps into a bottomless swamp. His daughter tries to save him but gets stuck as well. He rescued her from a pit of quicksand.

Black Widow has some sinking scenes. A character called the Molecule Kid can turns things into muck. First she sinks into a melting building.
Then falls into the muck up to her neck. Then sinks to her waist in orange goo. Neat episode I hope to find a better copy. The male character uses his power to talk to insects to save them.
